Day 5: Rest day, Brisbane
Nau Mai
Yesterday we enjoyed a day of rest in the sunny east coast paradise of Brisbane.
We have a few days off as we wait to arrive on the next show day. The plan is to relax and catch up on sleep and emails.
Here is my breakfast from our first rest day, a pair of Weetbix that were provided by our airbnb (they were found in the pantry in a box with lots of other Weetbix). I served them with milk and ate them quickly before they could soften.
Our airbnb feels a bit like it was designed by a child playing The Sims. It has all the amenities of a modern house but not quite enough space to fit everything.
In the afternoon we visited a music store to pick up supplies and try out some guitars. In the end I bought a few power cables and a couple of really flash picks. Iβll give everyone a review of these picks on Thursday when I get to have a go on them.
On the way home we stopped at a fancy supermarket where you had to get your bread out of a Ferris wheel.
They had a bread slicing machine that was scarier than any woodworking tool I have every seen.
Here is a picture of Jon Kia-maxing. By the end of an afternoon of running errands in our vehicle he was highly fluent with the Kiaβs inbuilt computer and had set up a profile and managed to turn all of the warning beeps off (unfortunately they come back on each time you restart the car).
