Day 10: Indianapolis, IN

Nau mai

Yesterday we played an outdoor show in Indianapolis.

My breakfast yesterday was a bowl of granola with milk and yoghurt topped with blueberries and a very soft banana from the hotel lobby fruit basket.

The weather was excellent all day. Nothing but sun and blue skies. Here we are on our way to get coffee before beginning load-in.

Our venue was in the Fountain Square neighbourhood, a cultural district filled with handsome, old brick buildings. Here is the Lady Spray herself, the fountain statue of the goddess Hebe, currently undergoing some remedial work.

The front facade of the our venue, the Hi-Fi complex, once home to the Five and Dime chain G C Murphy.

We were playing the Hi-Fi Annex, a large lot out the back of the building that transforms into a beautiful outdoor venue with a sunset backdrop.

I’ve been working on a new photography technique, something aimed at catching wider scenes in a manner that is both candid and exciting.

A triumphant end to the night. Members of the tour party pose on top of the completed trailer pack.
