Day 25: Cleveland OH
Welcome
Yesterday was a rest day spent in Oakwood, Cuyahoga County, a fringe suburb of Cleveland.
I woke up as the bus slowed to a halt after a long overnight drive through the states of Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and into Ohio. Exiting the sleeping quarters and entering the primary lounge I was pleased to see my old friend the Hampton Inn and Suites looming over the carpark.
Breakfast was a tough operation in Oakland and I ended up settling on Dunkin’ Donuts where I purchased an Egg, Sausage, and Cheese Croissant.
After furiously blogging for a couple of hours I left for my run feeling extremely fueled up the breakfast sandwich. My destination was the Bedford Reservation, the flagship of Cleveland Metroparks, recently named ‘2021 Best in Nation’ for Parks and Recreation Management.

I visited a few locations of interest in the Bedford reservation including the Great Falls of Tinkers Creek, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Bedford Viaduct - a stone arch railway bridge built in 1864. This really is an excellent park. Cycle paths, hiking trails, horse trails, picnic areas, and carparks are some of the many attractions available to visitors.

There isn’t much to report for the rest of the day. We watched a lot of movies. Jono did a lot of mixing in his portable hotel studio which you can see below.
